Questions and Answers

equpipment do you use?

I use anvil catfish rods, backstabber hooks and  as for electronics I use Lowrance 16 inch Carbon and a 36volt Motor  trolling motor. I feel these products are the best on the market.  I have 12 rod holders. 

What do I need to bring?
Fishing License, Rain Gear, Warm Clothes, Hat / Cap, Sunglasses, Sun Screen, Camera, and Lunch (Full Day Trip).

What will the guide provide?

State of the Art Catfishing Boat, Gas , Rods & Reels, Bait & Tackle, Water & Ice, Life Vests 

 When do I pay for my trip?

A $100 deposit needs to be paid when you make your reservation, your deposit is non refundable. If you must cancel, please give at least 3 days notice.  We will reschedule your trip. The balance of your trip must be paid in full prior to leaving the boat ramp.

Can I keep my fish?

We promote catch & release on ALL catfish 10lbs and up. If you are interested in taking home some fish to eat,  let me know in advance. I will target some of the better eating species.

Will you clean my fish?

We do not clean fish!!  Bring a cooler with ice and at the end of our trip we will put the fish on ice


Do you offer group trips? 

Yes, I work with one other Captain, we are capable of handling groups of any size.

Can I Re-Schedule a trip?

Yes, as long as you contact me a minimum of 5 days prior to your scheduled trip you may re-schedule.

Do I need a fishing license to fish with a guide?

Absolutely. You can purchase a license by phone, online, and at Walmart. You will either need a Indiana, Kentucky, or Illinois fishing license. Ask me what you need prior to your trip.

What kind of bait(s) will we be using?

What we use depends on the time of year but usually it is SkipJack ,Shad, or Mooneye.
